Everything Channel is partnering with LA Works, a nonprofit, volunteer action center that creates and implements hands-on community service projects throughout the greater Los Angeles area, during the upcoming XChange Solution Provider event on March 8-11, 2010.
The scope of the Channel@Work: Technology Makeover School Edition project will include a facility-based volunteer work revitalizing a computer center at a local Los Angeles elementary school with a population below the poverty line, located in a depressed area in need. Solution Provider volunteers will install and wire the computer lab with complete desktop workstations and printers donated by XSP supporting vendors, while other volunteers help paint the computer lab and beautify other areas of the school. A designated technology advisor will be oncall for any IT issues that may come up in the first year after the lab is built.
Volunteer registration is now closed.
Testimonial:
Dear Everything Channel Team,
Thank you all for partnering with L.A. Works and our community partner Dayton Heights Elementary! The Channel@Work-Technology Makeover School Edition was an incredible experience all around. We appreciate the extended media coverage. Further, the video clip did an amazing job of capturing the spirit of the event. What can we say...You were a dream to work with and we look forward to more projects in the future.
Best wishes for continued success!
Regards,
Natalee
